This is an agreement between the host detailed below and QuickGalway.

QuickGalway. agrees:


  • To act dutifully, honestly, legally and in good faith in its dealings with the host To confirm all bookings by e-mail / phone and ensure all clients details such as name / nationality / arrival date and details / length of stay are clearly communicated
  • To contact the host in relation to bookings with at least 2 weeks advance notice (please note there may be some last minute bookings due to the nature of our business so flexibility is required)
  • To provide clear and accurate information in all dealings with our company
  • To ensure all clients sign a contract of stay in advance of arrival to the host family and pay a security deposit.
  • To pay host via bank transfer in advance on a weekly basis. 


The Host agrees:

  • To perform its activities under this Agreement carefully and to act honestly, lawfully and in good faith.
  • To provide clear and accurate information to QuickGalway team on the property details. To provide a valid proof of identity upon application.
  • To ensure Garda vetting has been completed specifically in the provision of host family services (All persons in the household over 18 must be Garda Vetted by AFS/EIL Ireland. Garda Clearance for all people working with children or vulnerable adults has become mandatory under the National Vetting Bureau Acts 2012-2016. Without this clearance unfortunately you will not be able to host a student).
  • To inform QuickGalway in advance of signing this agreement of any specific rules which apply to your home eg house key not passed to clients, evening meal at 7 pm. On this point we ask all families to allow flexibility with our clients.
  • To inform QuickGalway if specific dietary requirements (eg vegetarian / vegan etc) can / cannot be catered for in your home If a client complaint arises due to inaccurate information provided by the Host, QuickGalway will not be held liable. No private agreement can be made between Host and Guest during the entire period of stay.
  • To provide the student with a friendly home environment that is safe and clean
  • To provide, on a weekly basis, clean towels and beddings
  • To provide the private room with basic furnishings including bed and bedding, night table, drawers and closet for clothes, desk, chair and lamp for study
  • To provide the Student with a key to the home
  • To not permit the Student to use illicit drugs or alcohol
  • The Host Family agrees never to leave the student alone or unsupervised overnight, regardless of the student’s age.
  • To secure medical treatment for the Student in the case of a medical emergency and will facilitate access to medical treatment for the Student as requested if such treatment is reasonably available.
  • To show the Student local places of interest during his or her stay and will include the Student in family activities as much as possible.
  • To organise CITY CENTRE pick up and drop off for the clients. If families are unable to collect or drop off their students, the family should make alternative arrangements and if this involves the students travelling by taxi, the family must pay for the taxi or the taxi fare will have to be deducted from the family payment.


The Host Family  understands that some students may withdraw from the Programs with very short notice and further understands that such circumstances are beyond the control of QuickGalway. QuickGalway is not responsible for any damage, theft, injury, expense or inconvenience which may occur as a result of a student’s stay in a host family.


The Host family accommodation rates for 2025 are as follows: 

  • Single/Twin/Triple Room € 190 per guest per week (Half Board) 
  • Single/Twin/Triple Room € 220 per guest per week (Full Board) Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy
  • QuickGalway pays the host family via bank transfer in advance at the start of every week of stay.
  • Payments are made on a per night basis and only for the nights the student stayed. In the case of a booking cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances by the Host Family (eg accident/family emergency) please contact QuickGalway immediately.
  • At least one week of notice must be provided.
  • In the case of a booking cancellation by QuickGalway we will contact the host family immediately and will always provide as much advance notice of the cancellation as is possible. At least one week of notice will be provided. QuickGalway where possible will also endeavour to have a replacement booking to offset this cancellation.
